Veterans Build

Honoring the brave men and women who served our country.

Our Commitment

Habitat for Humanity's Veterans Build initiative provides volunteer, homeownership, and employment opportunities to U.S. veterans, military service members, and their families. Locally, we are proud to honor those who have served through dedicated outreach and community action.

Veteran Statistics

  • Age & Burden: 2.5 million veterans are over 55; 24% of these households face housing cost burdens.
  • Disability Gap: Older veterans have a higher rate of disability (35%) compared to civilians (28%).
  • Financial Strain: Over 1.5 million veterans pay at least 50% of their income toward housing.
