Our administrative offices will be closed for the holidays from December 22nd to December 30th. 
The ReStore will be closed on December 24th and 25th. 

Our Cashier/Clerks are on the front line, providing superior customer service to ensure that ReStore customers have an outstanding experience.  

  Responsibilities:

  • Greet arriving customers and maintain positive interactions. 
  • Operate cash register following established sales procedures.
  • Respond to customer inquiries.
  • Direct customers to appropriate areas of the store.
  • Price, stock, and organize products. 
  • Answer phones and return messages.
  • Follow all store policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in retail sales with excellent cash handling and cash register skills.
  • Good listening skills and an ability to engage in well-considered discussions.
  • Good people skills: flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to advocate the mission of Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity
  • Professional demeanor and ability to remain friendly and polite when faced with difficult customer situations.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and handle multiple functions simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and courteously, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.  
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months of work experience. 

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is performed in a retail/warehouse environment.
  • Work may require climbing ladders, standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching awkward and tiring positions.
  • The ReStore is open Tuesday through Saturday.

Employee Status: Non-exempt, hourly at 40 hours per week

Starting wage: $18/hour
